Old Copper Chest

Hi everyone I am sorry its taken so long to do a new post but
I have been crazy busy at work. I hope you
think it is worth the wait.

I received the lovely Deco art products and for any of you
who have not tried these you must as they are amazing!!!

The antiquing creams and media line mediums are the best the results you
can achieve with them really appeal to my style of work.

Firstly I wanted a wash so I watered down Raw Sienna in a mini mister
and sprayed it over the card, I repeated this with watered down
Burnt sienna from the Decco Art  Media line range.

I used a mix of stamps from my stash Tim Holtz classics, La Blanche, Art Journey,
and a background script stamp.

I coloured in the images with watered down Phatholo Turquoise, Quinacridone Blood Orange,
Interference gold from the media range and white. finally sealed with
 Deco page matte Medium.

Firstly I got a cardboard chest from a craft shop to which I glued black card
that had been embossed with a swirl pattern.  I then applied Media
crackle paste to the edges and into this i pressed small glass beads.
Next I gave it a coat with gesso and allowed to dry.

This was followed with a coat of copper from deco arts dazzling matallics range.

Once dry i covered the chest in Carbon Black antiquing Cream knocked it back with a damp cloth and coated it with Deco page Matte medium. This was followed with Patina antquing cream.

I wanted to highlight the detail again so dipped my finger into the copper paint and
rubbed the paint gently over the surface.

One last coat of matte medium.

I attached the clasp to the front.

I am very pleased with the result this truly is an amazing product.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and forgive me for the delay.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy new year. Thank you all for your
support over the last six months,  I hope that you all continue to follow me
into the new Year as your support is what drives me.
As always please leave me a comment or two.
Cheers Dee

Compass and Cogs

I bought myself some new Tim products and had a play
this is the result.

I used Deco Art paints and Tim's crocodile stencil.

I have a cog die that cuts the most amazing cogs.
these I embossed.

I stamped the 'A' stamp of Tim's classic plate on to my
 textured beer mat.

this had been painted with deco art paints.

I stamped the compass onto white card and glued
 it onto the beer mat.

I stamped the 'A' onto deco art painted card and ripped
it and glued that onto the beer mat.

Treasure gold was applied to the textured piece's

Three brass sequins from my stash were applied to the
right hand corner.

Deco Art crackle paste was applied around the edges,
painted then knocked back with black.
I hope you all like it. Thank for popping
by please feel free to leave a
 comment or two.

So Sorry!

Not sure what has happened here think it must be little gremlins  in my computer that have re published an old blog. so sorry this is old but still amazingly good of course!!

       A brief discription
I am thrilled to confirm I am one of the lucky ones chosen to join the artistic stamper creative team call out. I have waited until this could be announced by Jennie on her blog and as this is my first time doing anything like this, so please give me feed back if you feel there is any way I can improve my blogging. Below are a few cards that I have done in the past, as a sample of my work. As you can see I am partial to the odd dragon fly and clock and this is still true of my recent work. A good friend of mine discribes my work as elegant grunge.
